Torrance, CA -- (BUSINESS WIRE SYSTEM)--Jan. 6,
1999--Magnetic Component Engineering, Inc., a California Corporation, located
in the City of Torrance has received the official ISO-9001:1994 Registration
from Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. bearing certification number 98428.
According to the registration, Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. has certified
that they have assessed the Quality System of Magnetic Component Engineering,
Inc. and declared that the company is in compliance with all the requirements
of ISO-9001:1994 without exception. The certification bears the seals of
ANSI-RAB, RvA Dutch Council for Accreditation and Perry Johnson Registrars,
Inc.
Ms. Montgomerie stated that she is pleased to see that the Company has made in
important step by acquiring certification. She stated that even though
MCE has always been known in the industry to have a high level of quality,
having completed the process of getting the ISO-9001 certification was the
obvious next step. It was expected by the industry that MCE take this
step.
Mr. Nanji, the General Manager, when questioned about the work involved in
preparing the Company for the audit said "…and without the commitment of
the employees, we would never have made it". When asked if it was
"customer pressure" that motivated the Company on pursuing the
registration, Mr. Nanji stated, "No, the decision to pursue ISO-9000,
specifically ISO-9001, has been an internal decision. It was the
management core that decided to move in this direction in preparation for the
turn of the century."
Mr. Beeler, the National Sales Manager for the Company said that the level of
quality that the company has maintained gave many customers the impression MCE
was already certified. "This was already expected, and now I am
confident that many of our competitors will follow. It is important for
the whole industry to realize the importance of Quality!"
Magnetic Component Engineering, a manufacturer of permanent magnets and
magnetic assemblies, has been a mark of quality and speed in the
industry. Lead times for production and prototypes are generally half of
what the industry has been quoting. Magnetic Component Engineering set a
