Magnetic Component Engineering announces S3069 Samarium Cobalt, a technological breakthrough!

Torrance, CA - (BUSINESS WIRE SYSTEM) - Jan. 8, 1999 - Magnetic Component Engineering, Inc., a California Corporation, located in the City of Torrance has announced that S3069, a Samarium Cobalt alloy with properties that excel is now in production.

S3069 is the most superior Samarium Cobalt alloy magnet material currently available in the industry. Until 1999, MCE was providing this material in limited quantities only to the defense and aerospace companies. The alloy has magnetic properties that exceed industry standards by miles!

The values of residual induction are typically 11,100 Gauss. The residual induction is guaranteed to exceed 10,900 Gauss. The most interesting fact is that this is accomplished without compromising intrinsic coercivity, which is guaranteed to exceed 19,000 Oersteds. This makes it a very desirable material. The only material that comes close to MCE's S3069 is Shin-Etsu’sR32H, however, the R32H has a minimum coercivity of 10,000 Oersteds rendering it useless for high temperature applications.

With superior mechanical characteristics, and exceptionally fast deliveries, Magnetic Component Engineering's S3069 is catching on fast in the industry. According to Ms. Montgomerie, the President of MCE, "we are setting a new standard for Samarium Cobalt, we want to remain ahead of the competition, offering our customers tomorrows technology today."

Magnetic Component Engineering, a manufacturer of permanent magnets and magnetic assemblies, has been a mark of quality and speed in the industry. Lead times for production and prototypes are generally half of what the industry has been quoting. Magnetic Component Engineering set a standard for high-speed accurate manufacturing in 1992. It has since become the vendor of choice for the aerospace, defense, computer, motor and medical industries. With sales approaching ten million, the company has sustained a growth in excess of 25% annually since 1991.
