Magnetic Component Engineering announces N3277C Corrosion Resistant Neodymium Iron Boron, a technological breakthrough!

Torrance, CA - (BUSINESS WIRE SYSTEM) - Jan. 29,1999 - Magnetic Component Engineering, Inc., a California Corporation, located in the City of Torrance has announced that N3277C, a Neodymium Iron Boron alloy with corrosion resistant properties that excel is now in production.

N3277C, an advanced NdFeB alloy, exhibits very high resistance to corrosion when compared to the industry standards for the alloy. The N3277C is one of the most desirable NdFeB alloys for applications where coating is either not desired, or would be cost prohibitive.

This alloy, specifically developed for applications that require NdFeB to beused in vacuum environments, or where a coating on the surface can lead to adeterioration in bonding strength (coatings are not designed to be adhered to), can be successfully used in industries such as the motor industry, communications industry, microwave and defense applications. The material has an intrinsic coercivity that exceeds 27,000 Oersteds, and a BHmax of 32MGOe.

With superior mechanical characteristics, and exceptionally fast deliveries, Magnetic Component Engineering's N3277C is catching on fast in the industry. According to Ms. Montgomerie, the President of MCE, "we are setting a new standard for corrosion resistant Neodymium IronBoron, we want to remain ahead of the competition, offering our customers tomorrows technology today."

Magnetic Component Engineering, a manufacturer of permanent magnets andmagnetic assemblies, has been a mark of quality and speed in the industry. Lead times for production and prototypes are generally half of what the industry has been quoting. Magnetic Component Engineering set a standard for high-speed accurate manufacturing in 1992. It has since become the vendor of choice for the aerospace, defense, computer, motor and medical industries. With sales approaching ten million, the company has sustained a growth in excess of 25% annually since 1991.
